June is cancer survivors month
Five organizations that can help cure cancer.
The American Cancer Society reports that “in 2021, there will be an estimated 1.9 million new cancer cases diagnosed and 608,570 cancer deaths in the United States.”
According to the National Cancer Institute, as of January 2019, there were “an estimated 16.9 million cancer survivors in the United States. The number of cancer survivors is projected to increase to 22.2 million by 2030.”
Those statistics suggest that likely you, a colleague, friend, or loved one has been impacted by cancer. There is a multi-billion dollar industry associated with preventing the causes of cancer: from supplements to diets, cosmetics to cleaning products, and fitness and health it seems as though everyone is trying to mitigate the risk of getting cancer.
There are also literally hundreds of cancer charities in the United States working vigilantly every day to eradicate cancer.
